Taekwondo
A long dream again..
I can’t really remember how it starts, but it’s all about taekwondo. A bit of background knowledge first: People who pass the blackbelt grading before 16 years old will be awarded Poom belt. The rank is equivalent to black belt, just that there are some restrictions at tournament. A pattern is a set of moves, like you have an imagery opponent. Allow you to show off the techniques and apply.
I’m back to taekwondo, and the 2 instructors welcomed me. The other members welcomed me back too. So, we start to train up for the next tournament. Tough trainings, but I was very happy that I’m back here in tkd.
(I saw someone who looks like one of my tkd instructors a few days ago. Trigger me to think of taekwondo again)
Later I get to join the taekwondo team in my school. Don’t know what school is that. Anyway, I was posted to the blackbelt/poom belt category. However, they didn’t allow me to do anything except sitting at one side to watch them practise. Never mind I’m already very glad to get on with taekwondo again. So I watched them practise the blackbelt 1st dan pattern. I knew how to do it last time but I forgot, so I was trying to refresh my memory for this pattern by looking at them. As they do the pattern I memorised. (wow, it’s really the pattern I see in my dream, it’s real). There’s this part in the beginning where you have to do 2 side kicks consectively, but I see all of them doing 3 kicks. I began to get confused.
A bit of descriptions. Most of the students there are poom belts, 2 black belts around. But the people there are mostly around the same age as me so I was wondering why the poom belts haven’t convert to black belts. One of the black belts is someone I knew. He is from the same branch as me but in real life I don’t really like him. In the dream he was very clumsy. So weird. As for the rest of the students, most of them are quite good in the patterns and punching. The leader (the other blackbelt) demand every move to produce a sound. But it didn’t reflect very well I thought. They looked so mechnical. Everybody kicks to the same height too, quite high.
The tournament is around the corner, but somehow the school doesn’t really train me. I began to suspect something is happening behind me and I’m completely oblivious. I realised it’s my fren in tkd last time who told the blackbelt not to train me. Sigh.
Full stop at 5:10 PM.
