Fluffy the rabbit and the giant sleeping snail
I fell asleep when I reached home today. So tired.
I dreamt that I have two animals in my house. A giant sleeping snail (not very giant), and a rabbit. Both of them are temporary pets. Let me describe them first.
The giant sleeping snail is just the name of the species (I believe it only exists in my dream). I'm not sure why is it called sleeping, maybe it moves so little that it looks like it's sleeping all the while. It's called giant because it's relatively larger than an average snail. It's dark gray, and look like a slug instead. There's no 'soft shell'. So it's like a bump of thing, with a clearly visible mouth but the eyes aren't very obvious.
The sleeping snail belongs to Professor Steven M. Miller (the lecturer for MUT4202). One day after lesson he just told me that he has a snail and I can bring it home for a week.
I can feed it with apple. Professor Steven says I can just drop the food inside the slot (the snail has a slot to put food), and it will start moving. Can see the mouth moving when it's chewing the apple. It seems to be chewing the apples bit by bit from the edges. Even the stomach is moving. He says that is when the food is being digested. And it can eat for a long time.
And I think, Steven M. Miller stays near me in the dream. Like only a few units away in the same block.
Fluffy the rabbit belongs to Benjamin Loh. It's called Fluffy because it looked fluffy and furry, just like a mess of cotton ball! He let me take care of the rabbit for some time. He told me I can feed the rabbit with carrot strips. He told me not to let the rabbit run around the house too much. Because it likes to escape by getting to the top of the bus.
One day, however, I decided to let it run around the house, because I think it looks like it needs a run around. However I did make sure that the doors and windows are closed properly before I allowed it to run around. And it really escaped! I don't know how it escaped.
So i ran after it. It really went to the top of the bus. It looked like it is enjoying the ride, with the wind blowing at its fur. I ran after the bus! (I can run so fast in my dream!) Somewhere, it came down and continued running. And we ended up at Raffles Hall (I ran from my house to NUS?!)! I kind of lost it, and I wondered did it go back to look for its owner. So I was thinking whether I should go to Room 4-303 to check, but I was worried that Benjamin will scold me.
Suddenly I saw it again. There's a tiger! I imagined a chasing circle in the dream, where I chase the rabbit, the rabbit chase the tiger and the tiger chase me. Doesn't really make sense huh. I shouted at the people sitting in front to ask them to catch the rabbit for me. They went to catch the tiger instead. But eventually someone else helped me catch the rabbit.
Then Zijuan called me. She asked me am I turning up to meet her or not. She is at Ang Mo Kio MRT already. And I kind of teleported to AMK? I saw her, but I can't get to her! While thinking of how to get to her, I realized that the rabbit is not with me anymore!! I ran around to look for it, and saw it lying on the floor, look very weak.
Maybe it's too hungry! I think I haven't been feeding it regularly enough. I went to the snack stall and bought some biscuits for it. While waiting to pay, I start feeding it already..
I saw some flash images of me buying a lot a lot of food for it. The thought that returning it means not seeing it anymore saddened me.
End of dream.
I guess I had this dream because I missed the bird.
